Untitled

In Etymology ( whole section added as part of Revision as of 08:19, 27 July 2022 ) we read:

... typically including milk, eggs, and flour (or other starchy ingredients such as suet, rice, semolina, etc.), enclosed within a crust made from such a mixture'. ...

I think this usage of a word suet is a typo or some other mistake. According to Wikipedia Suet article and dictionaries, suet is a type of fat not a carbohydrate.

My proposition is to change the sentence to following:

... typically including milk, eggs, suet, and flour (or other starchy ingredients such as rice, semolina, etc.), enclosed within a crust made from such a mixture'. ...

I would make the change myself, but I'm reluctant since I'm not a native English speaker and might be missing something. Ronillon (talk) 06:35, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Jell-O

Hi, I've removed the mention of Jell-O in the preamble, because the "active" ingredient of Jell-O that is a "similar coagulating agent" is the already mentioned gelatin. In my opinion, mentioning Jell-O by name is unnecessary branding and could be confusing (as, generally, it is a distinct jelly dish despite having pudding mixes available). And spicy

The comma in "salty or sweet, and spicy" makes it sound like a dish is only savoury if it's spicy. The King of Prudence (talk) 15:58, 25 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
