Capitalization?

[edit]

The title of this article has Both Words Capitalized Like A Proper Noun, but the body of the article does not use this convention. Is this just a titling error? If so, the article should be moved. --JBL (talk) 20:18, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. "Cake" is not the daughter of a king. Jonathunder (talk) 22:21, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Alternative name: Festival Gateau

[edit]

It appears this dessert is also referred to as Festival Gateau in the UK.

A Morrison's Festival Gateau on my desk with the characteristic layering of airy sponge, whipped cream, and green marzipan visible.

Low effort picture

[edit]

Why is the picture used to illustrate this kind of cake so low effort and unrepresentative of what a legitimate princess cake looks like? Do a search on "princess cake" and no matter how extensively you look, you won't see anything in all of Googledom so ridiculously lazy and sloppy. Literally the worst image of a princess cake online. Infuriating. 173.77.38.246 (talk) 16:43, 16 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If you think you can do better, then please make the cake, take some photos, and upload them to Commons. They should be tagged for c:Category:Princess Cake. WhatamIdoing (talk) 02:42, 18 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
