Proposed extensions

[edit]

I see this was already raised 15 years ago, but should proposed / tentative expansion plans be broken off from History and made a separate section?

Its actually quite hard to locate any central repository on proposed extensions (the last time the city did a master plan for PATH it was 2012), so it would be useful to collate the various proposals. Davidley (talk) 22:34, 23 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Citations

[edit]

@Joeyconnick What else needs citations and when should we remove the warning tag? Happy to hunt down some more sources.

Propose page rename to PATH (Toronto)

[edit]

I would suggest to rename the page from existing "Path (Toronto)" to "PATH (Toronto)" per common name. I don't think I have seen people writing the PATH in sentence case. OhanaUnitedTalk page 16:55, 13 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

MOS:ABBR: all sources that address the topic say "PATH" is not an acronym; therefore, the allcaps is a particular style, and we have our own house style at Wikipedia and it specifically does not ape whatever the org itself uses. WP:COMMONNAME refers to wording/spelling, not styling (what something is called, not how it is rendered; e.g. aspirin vs. acetylsalicylic acid, as opposed to Macy's vs. macy★s).
Follow standard English text formatting and capitalization practices, even if the trademark owner considers nonstandard formatting "official"
That is, it shouldn't be renamed. —Joeyconnick (talk) 18:27, 13 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I think MOS:TMRULES is the relevant guideline: Follow standard English text formatting and capitalization practices, even if the trademark owner considers nonstandard formatting "official", as long as this is a style already in widespread use, rather than inventing a new one. Osgoode

[edit]

Why is Osgoode Station listed? It may be connected to Four Seasons but it's NOT connected to the PATH. Samw (talk) 22:03, 12 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed it. Samw (talk) 13:37, 28 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
