Untitled

[edit]

I modified the "First Owl" link since the Purdue Owl is not the first OWL. There are other candidates for that honor, and I doubt that it will ever be settled. For example, the Salt Lake Community College Online Writing Center web page was established in July of 2004. Rather than "firsts" it would seem to be more productive to explore the history of OWLs in various media. --Clint Gardner

Bias and Lack of Sources

[edit]

This article leaves out the other OWLs that exist, and focuses solely on the Purdue OWL. It needs some work before it can be considered an article about the general topic of Online Writing Labs.

The history section contains no sources for its claims about the Purdue OWL. It looks like original research, which as far as I understand, doesn't belong on Wikipedia. --Polintr (talk) 22:01, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Add section on OWL services

[edit]

I plan to add a dedicated section on what services Online Writing Labs tend to provide. Paragraph two of the introduction briefly goes over it, but I want to make it its own section. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Lee Promise Cloud (talk) 18:27, 15 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
