Is this really appropriate to Wikipedia? I mean, definitions for HTML, CSS and so on are obviously needed, but this seems out of place. Although I see we do have a page on HTML scripting, for example. --Scott —Preceding undated comment added 09:51, 9 April 2003 (UTC)
I'm not sure about this, but is PHTML just an abbreviation of PHP and HTML? Or is it something completely different? -- John Owens 10:26 Apr 9, 2003 (UTC)
Deletion nomination
[edit]- Making a webpage - naïve and incomplete (if such a topic ever could be described completely - the scope of the title is gigantic), inaccurate and inappropriate for Wikipedia, which is an encyclopedia, not a how-to site. Also, the original author seems to have given up and vanished (see early comment on the page's discussion. -- Scott 02:15, 9 Sep 2003 (UTC)
- It is problematic that it is a large subject, but the precedent seems to suggest these are kept. See How to and the List of recipes for example. Angela 02:40, 8 Sep 2003 (UTC)
- But see Wikipedia talk:How-to articles - it's one of those cases where status quo != consensus. Martin 13:45, 8 Sep 2003 (UTC)
- In any case, this potentially book-length article is under the wrong title; it should be called something else. So delete. --Daniel C. Boyer 12:55, 8 Sep 2003 (UTC)
