Intro

[edit]

This article gets right into the details. I can appreciate the importance of that. However, it would be useful to have a readable summary at the beginning. We could then repeat the intro at the main article, software configuration management, and link it to here with Template:Main. --71.169.150.172 15:17, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, this seems resolved now. Closing comment.  Done 17387349L8764 (talk) 15:06, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Why does this article exist?

[edit]

IMO all "history of" articles should not exist. History should be in the article to which it pertains. I think sometimes folks break out history since the main article is, in someone's opinion, too long. Personally, I think splitting out history is a bad idea in every case. In this case it's particularly silly since both the main article, software configuration management, and this are less than long. Therefore, this page should be merged into the SCM page.
