Redirect from G. adspersum but not in the synonym list

[edit]

Ganoderma adspersum redirects to this page but it is not in the list of synonyms. Should it be?

By the way, iNaturalist uses G. adspersum as the taxon. AdamFunk (talk) 09:05, 12 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

No... in fact, this article should be moved to Ganoderma australe. See below request. - UtherSRG (talk) 11:51, 12 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
According to Index Fungorum, Ganoderma adspersum is legitimate and the redirect is invalid. - UtherSRG (talk) 12:12, 12 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support G. tornatum is treated as a synonym of G. australe by Mycobank, AusFungi and NZOR, as well as Index Fungorum. These are independently curated websites (GBIF gets it data for this species from Index Fungorum via COL). Plantdrew (talk) 20:40, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
