Diatonic interval?

As the article stands, a reader would come away from it with the assurance that the diminished third is a diatonic interval. (Read, checking for occurrences of the word diatonic.) Is this a good idea? In one sense the interval is diatonic, but in other senses it is not (see Diatonic and chromatic). Perhaps this needs some work.

Hyacinth's articles often improperly synthesize Benward & Saker's textbook. There is a long stretch of unsourced information in this article, as well. This whole thing could do with a real cleanup. Albeit, I'm not sure Wikipedia needs an article for every interval.Trumpetrep (talk) 04:09, 2 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
