A general question on whether or not all versions of the dialectic have been covered by this article?

[edit]

Am I mistaken in assuming that, as a child, I already knew about another version of the dialectic in which the practitioner posed the question to himself, "what prior thought preceded his current thought", and then asked in a sustained, and continuing sequential series what other thought preceded the previous thought, and followed this line of backwards reasoning to ultimately arrive at the original source of -- not only this particular line of reasoning, but also -- the Ultimate Source of *all reasoning*; hence, the source of all thoughts and of our rational mind....a transcendence of our material, temporal existence? Refiguring etc.

[edit]

Refigured: This is overly American English. This article describes the Dialectic, which is not only a US subject. ~2026-10804-7 (talk) 07:00, 6 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I am finding it difficult to understand what you mean. Only a very small proportion of the article is about anything American. You say "Refigured", without any context or explanation; the only use of that word in the article is in reference to Hegel, who was German. Can you clarify what you have in mind?
