What I think a confidence interval is

I'm a native English speaker and a college student doing a course about statistics.

Confidence interval: if you sample many times (from a population set) in the same way (i.e. using the same sampling size), then the Confidence Level percentage (usually 95%) of samples would contain the correct mean of the population.

This is not the same as saying that there is a 95% chance that the mean of the population is within the confidence interval.
