- ... that Concurrent Computer Corporation was consumed in a "minnow-swallows-the-whale" merger during the junk bonds era, but unusually, kept its name, CEO, and headquarters location? Source: see footnote 8 in article, the September 16, 1990 Asbury Park Press story

Excellent article, about a subject right in my wheelhouse. New enough, long enough, neutral and free of close paraphrasing or other copyright violations (including from print sources). QPQ fulfilled. Gave it a light copyedit and expanded the end section to include the post-Battery-acquisition division name. Hooks is interesting. A bit on the lengthy side, but I like the idiom. - @DigitalIceAge: Thanks very much for the review and the kind words. As for the Concurrent Real-Time division, it's good that you added the name here. I couldn't figure out where the best place is for its ongoing history – this article? Spectris plc? Brüel & Kjær? I guess in part it depends on how the Concurrent technology evolves and is used. - Hmm, if it doesn't contribute too much undue weight I suppose a subsection dedicated to Concurrent RT in the Brüel & Kjær article under "Organisational developments" could be added with all the ongoing history. DigitalIceAge (talk) 15:07, 9 May 2022 (UTC)

Outdated Company Information
[edit]Hello I work for Concurrent and I noticed some of the information was outdated and I wanted to see if an editor could fix some of the information.
- The Company is still operational - The company name should be Concurrent Real-Time, not Concurrent Computer Corporation. - The headquarters is now in Pompano Beach, Florida. - The logo is outdated here is a link to the current version https://concurrent-rt.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/2019_CCRT_W_T_2400dpi-1.png source link: https://concurrent-rt.com/about/ Smartinez80 (talk) 15:19, 19 September 2025 (UTC)
- This is a matter of how Wikipedia organizes information about companies, for which there is no perfect answer. As the concurrent-rt.com "About Concurrent Real-Time" web page states, they have been "Building real-time technology since 1966." So how to structure that? In this case, the Wikipedia articles about this evolving technology are grouped according to corporate ownership. So from 1966 to 1973, this technology is covered by the Interdata article, then from 1973 to 1985, it is covered by the 'Computer Systems Division' section of the much larger Perkin-Elmer article. Then when Concurrent Computer Corporation is created in 1985 as its own independent, publicly owned company, this article here describes it. Then when Concurrent Computer Corporation is sold off in 2017, other articles take over. In this case, Concurrent Real-Time is part of the HBK Virtual Test Division which is part of Hottinger Brüel & Kjær, so per this organization, information about Concurrent Real-Time belongs in a section of the Brüel & Kjær article, not here.
- And as an additional note, per Wikipedia rules there need to be good third-party sources about Concurrent Real-Time and its role in the HBK platform, not just company web pages and press releases. Based on a quick look, I haven't seen many such sources. Wasted Time R (talk) 14:20, 27 September 2025 (UTC)
