I'm probably going to remove the following lines: All unicellular organisms must:

  • get rid of waste (discard)
  • reproduce (make more of itself)
  • grow
  • This is because
    • Getting rid of waste (and eating) is what life must do. Unless we all learned that wrong in school; the part where it says "life must eat, poo, and reproduce"
    • grow: it doesn't have to grow and depending on the section some cells might never grow (outside of M0 into S phase, being cells which begin and then spend their life carrying out their function before apoptosis)

If someone beats me to it then the reproduction phase of the cells (cells dividing) also happens just 20-50 times before their programmed death. { Catcus DeMeowwy (talk) | User_talk:Catcus DeMeowwy 12:06, 22 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
