In the article it says that " Until 1822 Grão-Pará had been a separate viceroyalty from Brazil" but according to my research all three provinces located in modern-day Brazil were merged in 1775. Does someone have a source for the claim that it was a separate viceroyalty? Or a good source that refutes this claim? I found out from this one that the claim seems to be false https://www.worldatlas.com/history/the-portuguese-colonization-of-the-americas.html but of course some more sources than just the World Atlas would be nice Rhine Mapper (talk) 13:27, 16 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
