In other industries

[edit]

Since the concept review copies/samples isn't exclusive to publishing, it'd be good to have some mention of the practice in other industries.

Review copies are common in the video game industry, and the seeding of review units/samples of various consumer electronics products to reviewers is standard practice. --Veikk0.ma 12:11, 22 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Move to Advance reading copy

[edit]

The abbreviation "ARC" is used throughout this article, on ISFDB, and on the Abebooks glossary of bookseller abbreviations, and indeed throughout Abebooks, Biblio, eBay and elsewhere. Nowhere have I found it abbreviated "AC", so it seems sensible to move this article to Advance reading copy and to make relevant alterations to the first line of the article. -- Evertype· 18:32, 30 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
