Stratego is a war board game based on the 1909 French board game L'Attaque. While gameplay varies from version to version, generally:
Higher ranks capture lower ranks.
Bombs and flags cannot move.
Spies are able to kill the Marshall if they attack first.
Miners are the only rank that is able to capture the bomb pieces.
Whichever player captures the other players flag first wins.
The board is 9x9 and has two lakes that you cannot place your pieces in.
