  • diffhist Pacific War 08:37 −2 YuelinLee1959 talk contribs (Where does the 1.1 million figure come from? According to Japan's own records, the Japanese Army suffered 485,717 deaths in battles against the United States, and the Navy had 414,879 deaths (which can be considered almost all due to battles against the United States). Adding these together gives around 900,000, and with some other scattered deaths included, the total should be around 1 million.)
