- diffhist World War I 20:03 +25 DankJae talk contribs (revert changes to lead. Confusing why the dates are now placed outside a parenthesis and the common "First World War" put into a footnote. The note says Talk:World War I/Archive 18#The Great War indicates that there was consensus on a format (not sure which one? and does the prev follow it?), but at the very least, consensus must be demonstrated for a new, significantly different lead. This is En.Wiki so obviously we follow Anglophone historians more concerning names.) Tag: 2017 wikitext editor

- diffhist World War I 09:34 −150 Robinvp11 talk contribs (Not engaging in an edit war but can you provide the RS which state economic competition etc "caused WWI". Because having written most of the relevant section in the article, there's a lot of discussion about the economic rise of Germany but stating as a primary cause doesn't appear in this article or indeed that on the Causes of WWI which is linked. So either they're wrong and need to be changed to reflect that, or this is.) Tags: Undo Reverted

- diffhist World War I 09:25 −150 Robinvp11 talk contribs (I don't think this is correct; industrialisation and economic power provided the means but one of the weirdest ting about why war began in 1914 is precisely because there seemed little reason to do so. Countries may have competed for markets (as they still do today) but this doesn't necessarily lead to conflict. Plus, the Imperialism boom largely fizzled out in the 1890s, with the possible exception of the US (which of course we all know isn't a colonial power :))) Tag: Reverted
