Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Swift Navigation
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Swift Navigation, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 98.213.51.34 (talk) 22:42, 16 January 2019 (UTC)

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:55, 16 January 2019 (UTC)Unblock Request

Swift Navigation (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I am not trying to create a promotional page but rather a basic company page, I have spent the afternoon on Wiki help forums trying to do it correctly and was in the middle of revising content with updated sourcing and more succinct information when someone flagged the draft page I was working on and I was subsequently blocked. I am trying to get it right and am not trying to create a page that is against Wikipedia's purpose, just trying to navigate the guidelines within it.
Decline reason:
You will not be unblocked until:
- you propose a new username that meets the username policy
- you confirm that this account is used by one individual only
- you agree to avoid creating or directly editing articles related to your organisation (requested edits will still be permitted)
- you agree to abide by the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use and disclose your paid relationship in accordance with the paid contributor policy
- you indicate what areas of Wikipedia you intend to edit in the future
If you have no interest in editing Wikipedia beyond writing about your organisation, then you will not be unblocked. If this is the case, I recommend you consider alternative outlets. Yunshui 雲水 09:01, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- (Non-administrator comment) Please review WP:COI and WP:NOBILITY. These are the two issues you need to address in an unblock request. Cheers, - FlightTime (open channel) 23:48, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
- We don't have "basic company pages" as such. We have encyclopedia articles. An article about a company must meet WP:CORP in terms of notability. I did see some sourcing, but an article would require more in terms of breadth and depth of coverage. Your user name indicates a connection with this company and is promotional by nature. I will not decline the unblock request so that other admins can review the deleted page in question. At the very least though, you will need to choose a new user name. You will also need to read and heed WP:COI and WP:PAID. It is doubtful that anyone will wish to allow you to edit about a company with which you have a connection. When you have chosen a new user name, I will be happy to rename you. Just place {{ping|dlohcierekim}}, your chosen name, and signature at the bottom of the page.-- Dlohcierekim (talk) 00:03, 17 January 2019 (UTC)

Confirmation of Reinstatement Requests
[edit]While I have used the wrong terminology in stating my intent, I guarantee I have no malicious intentions for Wikipedia use, I'm simply someone trying to understand the platform and its format who made errors in trying to set up an account and complete a task. Once I discovered this I have spent hours reviewing the links and best practices that editors and the Tech Help shared for reference.
This account has always been and will only be used by one person. I'm happy to change my user name, is "amanbrod415" available? I will refrain from creating content for my organization and apologize that I thought by stating COI on my User Page was how this was supposed to be addressed, I also acknowledge and appreciate that I can request edits should a page be created for the organization someday. I don't know exactly what I may edit in the future but will be sure I can properly cite and reference content and ensure what I contribute adds value to the article in question. Thank you for your consideration.
