Hello, Bobby Cohn. This message concerns the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "Elna Widerström".

Drafts that go unedited for six months are eligible for deletion, in accordance with our draftspace policy, and this one has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply Draft:Elna Widerström (diver), and remove the db-afc, db-draft, or db-g13 code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you read this, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions here. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the draft so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! <!-- Template:Db-draft-notice --> DreamRimmer bot II (talk) 19:26, 13 April 2025 (UTC)

Revision as of 19:26, 13 April 2025

hi sir, can you please point out which reference is not reliable Zahid super (talk) 13:55, 5 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

can you please fix my article, sorry for asking unconditional help but if you do it will be greatly appreciated Zahid super (talk) 14:00, 5 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Zahid super two of your references are just homepages to organizations or individuals that neither verify the information nor, if they did, would they be suitable to demonstrate notability as they are not indepent. One of the other references does not mention the subject at all. In the declination reasons given by myself and another reviewer, there were numerous links to various Wikipedia project pages that give guidance to the issues with the draft. I would start by reviewing those and familiarizing yourself with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. No, I cannot write this draft article as I was not the one to do the research before writing it. I'll note that you resubmitted the article without making any improvements in spite of the advice that on the template which said Please note that if the issues are not fixed, the draft will be declined again. Best of luck on your article. —‍Bobby Cohn (talk) 12:42, 7 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

(Bobby Cohn),

Can you please help how to improve the page? There are external links provided to Newspaper articles and sources? Not sure what else is needed!

Please let me know....thanks! Jayashree68 (talk) 15:56, 9 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Jayashree68: without identifying the page it is hard to give advice. However, the only declination history on your talk page is to User:Jayashree68/sandbox so my advice will concern that draft article. You need to read the declination explanation, I will copy them here for your convenience:
This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources.
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
So to answer your question, inline citations to reliable sources are needed. You need to demonstrate inline from where you got the information. How do I know that the promotional text in § Career is true and not your first hand knowledge of the subject without having a citation? If you are basing your information from your first hand knowledge, you will need to declare your conflict of interest. You would also need to remove that information. If you are writing about yourself, we strongly discourage that.
Yes, you've listed things in a section called "Media coverage". That is of no use to reviewers or readers who want to check the factual accuracy of the information. Bobby Cohn (talk) 16:32, 9 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Bobby,
Thanks for the detailed feedback…got the draft page done through ChatGPT so looks like so errors need to be fixed…this wiki page is for my daughter, who is autistic and an artist, so I’m creating it on her behalf. I will surely check the references and make sure the links are all correct.
Will resubmit after that. Thanks! Jayashree68 (talk) 01:54, 10 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Don't use ChatGPT and declare your conflict of interest. Bobby Cohn (talk) 02:12, 10 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I don’t use ChatGPT fully, just to take help on review and make sure it’s wiki compliant. In fact had edited the whole content fully myself (used to be a web manager in California back in 2000’s) :)
Regarding the conflict of interest, I did mention but it got erased somehow. Since my daughter has communication difficulties, I manage her social media accounts. But, all her accomplishments have come from external sources, I’m just quoting what people have said on press or news media. Just to clarify.
Anyway, will work on the draft for sure.
Thansk again for reverting so fast. Jayashree68 (talk) 02:59, 10 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I am here because you declined my submission can you please help on that and how can i submite in a way so that you can accept my draft to publish

MachaSaiKishore1975 (talk) 07:58, 10 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@MachaSaiKishore1975, based on your username, it appears you are writing an autobiography. Please review the guidance at Wikipedia:Autobiography and note that it is strongly discouraged. If you insist, then review the declination reasons given at the top of the article. The draft article (1) has no inline citations (or any citations at all) and because it has no citations, (2) there is no way to see if you are in any way notable. Bobby Cohn (talk) 10:53, 10 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Dear Bobby, I am writing to you addressing my recent concern of my draft article.

MR. Cohn I have tried many times to publish the article around the climbing Athlete and I have made various points to perspective around the article, I did my part of researching for better composing and displaying for the article regarding "Ahmad Bani Hani" and thank of filling every required field to optimisé reading incredibly and article richness.

From where I started my problem were obviously around citations, then I explored some facts with other reviewing partners at Wikipedia of which the formal article frame should be, were as; the notability missing, over paragraphic, missing of secondary sources. then, I found each problem and tried to fix it many times.

Now, I'm feeling little bounded to the article and want it to be visible on Wikipedia. The thing here, is that I'm seriously not getting why it's still pending for now. And I need help of summarizing the relatives of the article.

Why it's keeping getting rejected by our community and why it is not supported until the moment? is there some one who can give me live update on editing it, if that option is offered it can be real helpful; cause in this way it would turn me way good and fasten time for me to leave a clean and proper draft for you and other colleges to review.

Best Regards, Mustafa Thahabi MustafaAldahabi (talk) 13:05, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @MustafaAldahabi, when I am evaluating the sources in the draft, I see that a lot of it is sourced to self-published or user-generated content such as Facebook, which cannot be used to source the claims that are being made in the draft article. There are also claims (such as first to do x) that are not established by reliable sources. There are sections made largely of un-encyclopedic content such as § Approach and Philosophy and § Legacy and Public Engagement. And I'm not seeing enough independent and significant coverage to establish Wikipedia:Notability. These are larger problems, especially notability, that are the cause of my—and likely others'—declinations. Bobby Cohn (talk) 13:38, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Jonathanxqz1 found it. The article Draft:Fancy That has been moved to the draftspace where it can be improved, as the previous version in the mainspace had no sources. Bobby Cohn (talk) 12:23, 13 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
