I changed to "max," which ensures that the value is nonnegative. I don't have access to the second reference cited here, but https://arxiv.org/abs/0901.4709 (which has since been published formally) shows that a maximum is used. current Tag: Visual edit

I've added a specific example of someone who wrote a parody, but the academic paper that I reference notes that several parodies are known. I don't know the author of the parody that shows when searched for on YouTube. It might be possible to infer who that was by reading the paper I cite in more detail. Tag: Visual edit

  • 11:3411:34, 13 September 2023 diff hist −22 m CUDA Background: Sort algorithms are not fundamentally well-suited to GPUs. If one is sorting on a primitive data type (e.g., ints or doubles) then there are high-performance algorithms. However, general sort algorithms that rely on a comparison operation "a <= b" can involve computing nontrivial functions of (a, b). Unless all O(n^2) of these comparisons are made ahead of time there is no hope for doing this efficiently on a GPU. Tag: Visual edit

The capitalization of "w" in "white" is a matter of style that article authors or the Wikipedia community should decide on. For example, the AP capitalizes "Black" but not "white". Further discussion should happen on the talk page. Tag: Undo

The slight modification here should improve clarity on this issue without loss of other information. If someone feels strongly about this edit, feel free to revert.
