- 01:0001:00, 12 July 2021 diff hist −461 Hermetica Undid revision 1033130389 by Apaugasma (talk) Latham holds a master's degree in this specialist subject, and this was his first translation after ten years of studying Latin and Ancient Greek. If that's not good enough for Wikipedia, it says more about Wikipedia than it does about the academic community as a whole. Tags: Undo Reverted

- 18:0518:05, 11 July 2021 diff hist −267 Hermetica →English translations of Hermetic texts: I am aware that this list was limited to scholars and not hermeticists, but Latham is *not* a practising hermeticist, and holds a master's degree in Latin and Ancient Greek. His edition is scholarly, as evidenced by the footnotes and bibliography (which are not a feature in books written by hermeticists). Latham's translation is also the most recent translation of the Hermetica into the English language. Ian Thomson hates this author & discredits him. Tag: Reverted

Latham is a qualified Latin translator, his specialism is in Classical Latin and Roman archaeology. His edition is replete with scholarly references, almost exclusively primary sources from the classical world. Ian - I would like to see *you* translate even a single sentence in Latin, let alone several hundred pages.
