Jesaia Swart (born 3 July 1938), commonly known as Sjaak Swart, is a former Dutch footballer. He notably won three European Cup titles with AFC Ajax in 1971, 1972, and 1973.[2]
Swart is Jewish,[3][4] and during the German occupation of the Netherlands during World War II, he and his father concealed themselves as non-Jews to hide from people who rounded up Jewish people.[2]
He played almost 600 matches for Ajax, which is a club record. Because of this record, he gained the nickname Mr. Ajax.[5]
