Siddhesh Kadam is an Indian politician and public administrator currently serving as the Chairman of the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB), a statutory authority under the Government of Maharashtra.[1] He also holds the position of secretary of the political party Shiv Sena, led by Eknath Shinde.[2][3]
Early life and education
[edit]Kadam pursued a Bachelor of Science degree before completing his MBA in International Business from Deakin University, Australia.[4] He is the son of Ramdas Kadam, a former Maharashtra state minister.[5]
Career
[edit]Kadam began his political journey as a core member of the Yuva Sena, the youth wing of the Shiv Sena[6]. In 2023, he was appointed as a secretary in the national executive of the Shinde-led Shiv Sena.[7][8][9]
In March 2024, Kadam was appointed as Chairman of the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board.[10][11]
Public initiatives
[edit]Under Siddhesh Kadam, the MPCB has conducted awareness campaigns and launched mobile applications to track real-time pollution levels.[12][13] Kadam as Chairman of MPCB oversaw the deployment of mobile air quality monitoring vans in Mumbai to enhance pollution tracking.[14]
