Persona is an online age verification service. In July 2025, social media service Reddit began requiring users in the UK to register with Persona in order to access certain features, in response to the Online Safety Act 2023.[1][2][3]

Content covered includes sexually explicit material, encouragement of suicide and eating disorders, and expressions of hatred based on race, religion, or sexual orientation.[4]
