Neumünster (Low Saxon: Niemünster, Neemünster; North Frisian: Naimünster) is a city in the middle of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. In 2015 about 79,000 people lived there.
The city is located at the river Schwale. The Aukrug Nature Park is close to the town.
