Description of suggested change: I propose updating the AIN entry to ensure that the flag file "Individual Neutral Athletes at the 2024 Summer Olympics Flag.svg" is used only for Olympic-related contexts, rather than as the default flag for all events.

The issue is that the Olympic-specific flag ("Individual Neutral Athletes at the 2024 Summer Olympics Flag.svg") appears to be set as the default flag, which may cause it to be used in non-Olympic contexts (e.g., other sporting events). To address this, I suggest modifying the entry to explicitly assign the Olympic flag to Olympic contexts.

The current structure implies that "Individual Neutral Athletes at the 2024 Summer Olympics Flag.svg" is the default flag, which is inappropriate for non-Olympic events like the 2025 Summer World University Games, which has its own flag.

AIN = { name = "Individual Neutral Athletes", ["Summer Olympics"] = "Individual Neutral Athletes at the 2024 Summer Olympics Flag.svg", ["World Games"] = "Flag of the Individual Neutral Athletes (2025 World Games).svg", },

Every country needs a default flag. I suspect AIN is going to be used primarily on Olympics-related articles. If there is a flag that is not the Olympics flag, then we can/should add it in as an additional option. Primefac (talk) 00:49, 19 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Description of suggested change:

Afghanistan competes in the World Games using the tricolor flag used by the Islamic Republic, rather than the white flag favored by the Taliban (see https://sports.cctv.com/2025/08/07/ARTIGwmxzibubVz9evSxSfby250807.shtml)

I thought the default flag was already the tricolor flag.--Mike Rohsopht (talk) 10:14, 13 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Good catch, it is; I have reverted my change. Primefac (talk) 22:23, 13 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Description of suggested change: The current version of the flag is being replaced with the official version of the Portuguese flag, for instance,Portugal, Template:Country data Portugal. The reason being that File:Flag of Portugal.svg is an outdated rendering of the Portuguese flag, unlike File:Flag of Portugal (official).svg (More info at: Template talk:Country data Portugal)
