Minnetonka Library (formerly the Minnetonka Mills Library or the Burwell School Library), is a library in Minnetonka, Minnesota.[1]

Before the Library

[change | change source]

In 1876, a library was opened in a flour mill.[2]

In 1914, it was moved to a store. The store caught fire in 1918, causing the library to get moved to the Burwell School.

The Minneapolis Public Library sent books to help the library.

Current Library

[change | change source]

In 1963, the school closed the library to use the space for itself.[2]

In 1967, the Minnetonka Library replaced the Minnetonka Mills Library.

The current library building opened in 1989.[3]
