That’s replacing “to see if it is registered…” – using “it” to refer to a user name, even if it’s the name of a user that doesn’t exist, feels wrong to me. (See User:Arthur Dent for an example of the message in context.) Lucas Werkmeister (talk) 21:26, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
