Kamal Omopupa

Kamal Tunde Omopupa (born 1973) is a librarian and Nigerian professor at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria.[1]

Early life and education

Tunde born in 1973 into the family of Omopupa, Began his Educational journey where he attended Government day secondary school in Ilorin.[2]

He attended the Bayero University, Kano, where he got his Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science in 1994. He attended the University of Ibadan and graduated in 2005 where he got his Master degree in the same discipline. In 2000 he obtained a Master in Labour and Industrial Relations from the University of Ilorin. He obtained his Doctorate degree (PhD) in Library & Information Science from University of KwaZulu‑Natal, South Africa, in 2016.

Professional career

  • Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Library & Information Science in 2008.
  • Principal Mechanical Engineer in 2011.
  • University Librarian in August 2022.[3][4]
