Hosank (Armenian: Հոսանք), is an Armenian nationalist political movement based on Tseghakronism ideology. It was founded on 18 December 2021 and is headquartered in Yerevan.
The movement is not an officially registered political party in Armenia; it has no political representation within the National Assembly.
History
[edit]Hosank was established in 2021 by Armenian American Hayk Nazaryan.[1]
On January 1, 2024, 15 members of the movement organized a rally and march in the center of Yerevan on the occasion of Garegin Nzhdeh's birthday[2].
Ideology
[edit]The "Hosank" is a political movement guided by Tseghakronism and Armenian nationalist ideologies. It does not have any funding or support from other parties or political movements and is operated by the founder of the movement, its members, and other individuals who support the movement.
The movement's goal is to achieve power through legal means: to create a powerful and sovereign state that should include Armenia's historical territories, including Artsakh, encourage repatriation from the Armenian Diaspora, reject foreign investment and allow only Armenian citizens to own property, ban all foreign media outlets, eliminate all foreign influences on Armenian culture, and support the strengthening and expansion of Armed Forces of Armenia.
