GeeksForGeeks (known as GFG) is an Indian educational technology company that provides online learning resources for computer programming, computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science to students and professionals. Founded by Sandeep Jain in 2015, the company is headquartered in Noida, India[1] with additional offices in Bengaluru and Pune.[2]

History

[edit]

GeeksForGeeks was established in 2015 by Sandeep Jain, an Indian educator and computer science professional.[3] Jain earned a B.Tech degree from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University in 2004 and an M.Tech degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee.[4][5]

Prior to founding the platform, he worked as a software engineer at a US-based firm from 2007 and 2010[6] and later served as an assistant professor at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology.[7] During his academic tenure, Jain began publishing technical content on a personal blog, which eventually evolved into the GeeksForGeeks platform.[8][9]

The company has collaborated with technology firms such as Google Developers, Amazon, and Microsoft.[10] As of 2023, GeeksForGeeks reported annual revenue of $10 million.[2] The platform features articles, coding challenges, and tutorials covering programming languages, algorithms, and interview preparation. In January 2025, the company introduced preparation programs for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025, focusing on technology-related disciplines.[11]
