Eavan Aisling Boland ([iːˈvæn ˈæʃlɪŋ ˈboʊlənd], * 24. September 1944 in Dublin; † 27.

Weitere Bände waren The War Horse (1975) und In her own Image (1980).

2012 bekam sie den PEN Award for Poetry in Translation des US-amerikanischen PEN-Verbands für A Journey With Two Maps: Becoming a Woman Poet. 2016 wurde sie in die American Academy of Arts and Sciences aufgenommen. Ab 2018 war sie Ehrenmitglied der Royal Irish Academy. 2019 wurde ihr der Irish PEN Award for Literature verliehen.[6] 2020 wurde ihr posthum der Costa Book Award in der Sparte Lyrik für The Historians verliehen. Am Trinity College Dublin wurde 2024 die frühere Berkeley Library auf dem Campus im Stadtzentrum Dublins in Eavan Boland Library umbenannt.
