Clarifying sources and notability

[edit]

The original draft submission was declined with the comment that "Primary sources do not establish notability per WP:ORG". Apologies for the oversight. The page has been edited to add some secondary sources. In addition, it is perhaps notable that there are many existing Wikipedia pages that already reference the USC Signal and Image Processing Institute (or other name variations such as the USC Image Processing Institute, USC IPI, USC-IPI, USC-SIPI, or USC SIPI), including:

-Standard test image

-Lenna

-Anil_K._Jain_(electrical_engineer,_born_1946)

-Ernest Lenard Hall

-Ramalingam_Chellappa

-C.-C._Jay_Kuo

-Shrikanth_Narayanan

-Georgios_B._Giannakis

-Firouz_Naderi

The fact that SIPI is already referenced multiple times on Wikipedia perhaps helps to reaffirm it's notability? Bgeezering (talk) 08:42, 8 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
