"Rewrote some parts"

[edit]

@Awesomecat713, thanks for the help. Why did you remove the reference to Lisse's presentation at TUG? I believe that was one of the only reliable secondary source. Quachpas (talk) 09:02, 13 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I removed a subjective sentence with the reference attached. Feel free to use the source elsewhere in the article, or if you feel that the sentence was not subjective, add it back. Awesomecat713 (talk) 15:26, 13 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It was not clear that the source itself backed this statement, I added it back with a quotation instead. Unfortunately, the lack of secondary sources is damning, and this was the only good secondary source which was removed before the review lol. I was a bit confused when the reviewer made the remark that all references were either primary or UCG. Quachpas (talk) 16:54, 13 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

LWN

[edit]

I've added a reference to the LWN article https://lwn.net/Articles/1037577/, which is a reliable source. Maybe not in the best place. Maybe this can help the draft be ready for a new try. sverdrup (talk) 14:35, 1 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Manuscritos digitales en Física [Digital Manuscripts in Physics]

[edit]

I was graciously given access to this Spanish language article by its author, so the article now references it. It's not easily available generally. I'll quote the relevant passages about Typst below in full since they are quite brief. Typst is still part of the abstract, so it's definitely part of the subject of the article.

Fig. 9. Typst, la au-
téntica alternativa a
LaTeX. [...]
limpio (fig. 9) y su compilador (el traductor a PDF)
está desarrollado con herramientas de programa-
ción modernas [23].

from: Corbi, Alberto (April–June 2024). "Manuscritos digitales en Física" [Digital Manuscripts in Physics]. Revista Española de Física (in Spanish). 38 (2)

Cit 22 is for Haug's thesis on Typst and Cit 23 is Matsakis & Klock on the Rust language.

I hope this clarifies what this reference is. For a wikipedia editor, there are slim pickings. sverdrup (talk) 10:43, 8 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Reference to 2nd largest growing language on GitHub in 2025?

[edit]

I wondered whether this draft should incorporate a reference to this GitHub blog post about being the 2nd fastest growing major language on the platform, perhaps in the history section. It underscores the amount of growth and traction Typst currently has. I don't want to add this myself since I a) am not an experienced Wikipedia editor and b) am the CEO of Typst GmbH and thus have a conflict of interest. If the folks here think it's a good reference, I'd invite them to add it to the draft. Reknih (talk) 08:20, 22 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
