Vericant International Holding Limited [1] commonly referred to as Vericant, is a third-party verification service based in Beijing that films a face-to-face video interview and a supervised writing test, both of which are then uploaded onto an online interface for American boarding schools and colleges to access.[2][3][4][5]

History

Vericant (a portmanteau of verify and applicant) was founded in January 2011 by Chris Boehner to help American private schools verify the identities of Chinese applicants.[4][3][2]
