Valeriu Iftime
[edit]Valeriu Iftime (born 31 May 1960) is a Romanian business man and politician of the National Liberal Party[2]
He is the owner of FC Botoșani[3] and is also currently the President of the Botoșani County Council[4]
He has been the President of the Botoșani County Council since 2024.
Valeriu Iftime is also the Owner and President of Elsaco[5], a company specializing in energy efficiency solutions, contributing to Romania’s infrastructure and technological development.
Valeriu Iftime has advocated for Botoșani to keep going on a 'Pro-European Route'[6] which aligns with the policies of the National Liberal Party, also known as PNL. He has been vocal about regional development and European integration.
He is a relatively new politician only appearing in the last couple years. At the beginning of 2024 he even got elected as the leader of PNL Botoșani.[7]
Recently, he expressed disappointment that Botoșani does not have an Olympic-level high school student in mathematics,[8] emphasizing his commitment to improving educational opportunities in the region.
Valeriu Iftime has two kids, Vlad and Șerban Iftime. They took over the management of two companies in the Elsaco portfolio.[9]
