An untitled Election sequel is an upcoming American black comedy film directed by Alexander Payne from a screenplay by Payne and Jim Taylor, based on Tom Perrotta's 1998 novel of the same name. It serves as the sequel to Election (1999). Reese Witherspoon reprises her role as Tracy Enid Flick.

[edit]In March 2024, it was revealed that Alexander Payne was developing a direct sequel to Election (1999), with Reese Witherspoon reprising her role as Tracy Enid Flick, as well as serving as a producer on the film.[1]
