- Boeing 747 - 2 5N-HHS 5N-THG
- Douglas DC-8 - 1 5N-HAS
Accidents and incidents
[edit]- 31 March 1992, Trans-Air Service Flight 671 from Luxembourg Airport to Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, operated by Kabo Air encountered severe turbulence over the French Alps, and the plane's two right engines tore off. Despite extensive damage the pilots landed the plane at Istres-Le Tubé Air Base. However upon deploying the leading-edge slats sparks set a ruptured fuel line on fire, and after landing, the fire destroyed the airplane. Metal fatigue in the No. 3 engine pylon and faulty maintenance procedures were to blame for the accident.[3]
