Tixbase, formerly known as NFT-TIX, is a blockchain-based ticketing platform founded in 2019 by Emil R. Ljesnjanin. The company develops digital ticketing infrastructure.[1]and build on top of the Avalanche blockchain [2]

History

The company was initially launched as NFT-TIX, with a focus on non-fungible token-based ticketing.

In 2023, Tixbase rebranded from NFT-TIX to reflect a broader product offering. That year, it announced a multi-year ticketing partnership[3] with Unum Festival in Albania.

In August 2024, Tixbase entered into a five-year exclusive partnership with Passo,[4][5].

In October 2024, Tixbase acquired Spotlite,[6] a no-code platform that enables event organizers to create custom mobile apps tailored to their events.

Awards and Recognition

In 2022, Tixbase, in collaboration with EXIT Festival, won the Innovation Award at the UK Festival Awards[7] for their implementation of blockchain technology in ticketing.
