Tarendra Kumar Mehta (born 1 March 1957) is an Indian businessman and entrepreneur. He is the founder of Metacut Engineering Pvt. Ltd. (established in 1990) and TSM Engineering Pvt. Ltd. (established in 2005), both engaged in the manufacturing and mechanical engineering sectors.
Early life and education
[edit]Mehta was born in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. He grew up in Udaipur, where his father worked as an accountant in the police department. Demonstrating academic excellence, Mehta earned a scholarship to study abroad and completed his higher education at the People’s Friendship University of Russia (then USSR), earning a master's degree in engineering (M.S. Engineering).
Career
[edit]Mehta began his professional journey working with major engineering and manufacturing organizations such as Singer, Eicher, and the Central Manufacturing Technology Institute (CMTI) in its Research and testing division.
In 1990, Mehta founded Metacut Engineering Pvt. Ltd., a company focused on precision engineering solutions. Building on its success, he later established TSM Engineering Pvt. Ltd. in 2005, expanding his operations into diversified mechanical engineering services and electric vehicle manufacturing.
Personal life
[edit]Mehta is married to Manjulata Mehta. The couple has a son and a daughter.
