Tailor Brands is a software company that provides an online platform for business formation and management, including LLC registration, compliance, website creation, and branding tools. Founded in New York in 2014, the company began as a logo design service based on artificial intelligence and later expanded into a one-stop shop for launching small businesses.[1][2][3]
History
[edit]Founding and early focus (2014–2021)
[edit]Tailor Brands was founded in New York in 2014 by Yali Saar, Nadav Shatz, and Tom Lahat. The company’s early focus was to automate brand creation through artificial intelligence. Early coverage by TechCrunch described it as an effort to "have robots design logos".[4]
In 2016, Tailor Brands raised US$4 million in a Series A round led by Disruptive VC and Mangrove Capital Partners.[4] Two years later, it raised US$15.5 million in a Series B led by Pitango Venture Capital to expand its AI-driven branding platform.[3][5] A 2018 Harvard Business School case study examined the company’s use of artificial intelligence for automated branding and its early business model.[6]
Expansion into small business formation and compliance services (2021–present)
[edit]Tailor Brands expanded from logo design into a business building platform, including LLC formation, trademark registration, and business licenses and permits.[1][7] In July 2021, it announced a US$50 million Series C round led by GoDaddy, with participation from OurCrowd and Pitango Venture Capital.[1][8][9] In 2024, Tailor Brands became the first partner integrated into GoDaddy’s Website Builder API, allowing users to build and host websites directly through its platform.[10]
Services
[edit]Tailor Brands’ platform provides digital tools covering several aspects of starting and managing a business, including:
- Business formation: LLC formation, EIN registration, registered agent services and business permits.[7][11]
- Branding: AI-generated logos, design services, and business cards.[9]
- Online presence: Domain registration, business email and website-building tools.[1][10]

The organization noted that Tailor Brands cooperated fully and promptly modified its materials.[12]
