Szou are a British indie pop band formed in London in 2023. They consist of lead singer Zoe Kent and producer David Simpson..[1]
Originally a solo project, Zoe Kent was introduced to David Simpson by a mutual friend and started working together in early 2021, releasing three singles before Simpson joined as an official member[2].
Their debut single as a duo "Up To No Good" was released in March 2024 followed by "Thinkin' Bout" in August 2024, EP "Nice To Meet You" (November 2024), and "Rose-Tinted" (April 2025).
They have received recognition from Atwood Magazine[3], 1883 Magazine[4], Far Out[5] and BBC Introducing as well as being named "Ones to Watch" for London in 2023 by Gigwise[6]. After playing a performance at Maida Vale Studios for the BBC in 2024[7], the band had a series of plays on BBC Radio 1 "Future Pop" with Mollie King for three weeks running with single "Thinkin' Bout" (August 2024)[8][9][10]
