Ezekiel Georgewill (born 17 March 2000) known professionally as SwayVee, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, rapper. He was born in Lagos, Nigeria.[1]

Early life and Career

Ezekiel Georgewill was born on 17 March 2000, in Lagos, he originally hails from Akuku-Toru Local Government Area, in Rivers State. Ezekiel grew up in Port Harcourt, where he Studied at Rootway Comprehensive College for his secondary school education, after which he gained admission to study Computer Science in University Of Uyo and graduated in 2022.[1]

2016-2021: Career beginnings and record label deal

Swayvee first started off using the name Fatal Emcee during his early career days from street rap battling. In 2016, he registered for a music competition at Nectar Studios in Uyo, which was his first spotlight showcasing his rap skills, he ended up as the first runner-up of the competition and during that time he had two songs. He was previously known as Swayzee also, he later transitioned to Swayvee, which represents a more refined start as he took music as a profession, Swayvee was highly influenced by Tory Lanez, which his music lifestyle helped shaped his rap music fusion.[2]

Swayvee musical career kicked off professionally in 2018, he got signed to Etins Records, a Nigerian record label in that same year. In 2020 Swayvee teamed up with label mate Yarden to drop his first debut titled "Wild", he dropped serval freestyles that year including "How To Sway" which was an introduction of his rap music style. On April 2021, he released "DMS" through Etins Records[3] his musical influences are Tory Lanez, Wizkid, Runtown, Burna Boy and Bryson Tiller.[1]

2021-present

At the last quarter of 2021, Swayvee officially left Etins Records to make music independently while unveiling his music brand "Weirdsid3".[2] In same year, Swayvee dropped "Para" in collaboration with Zhus Jdo.[4]

On February, 2024 Swayvee was featured as main artist on "Urban High", a collaborative album by PressPlay with co artists like Yarden, Morien and Yunos.[5]

In September 2024, Swayvee dropped 2 singles titled "Position" and "Over You" off his Extended Play "Perswaysion" under Weirdsid3 and Etins Records.[6] [7]

On March 2025, Swayvee dropped his hit single "Us" which went viral on Social media and became a viral sound on TikTok. It reached number 2 spot on Apple Music RnB charts and charted on Shazam global 200, On Spotify it charted number 5 spot on Spotify’s Top 50 viral in Nigeria and South Africa with over 1.5 million streams and over 300k monthly listeners. "US" was played on national radio stations like played on national radio stations like Soundcity Fm, The Beat 99.9 FM, Urban radio, Cool Fm and others.[8][9]
