Spangle AI is an American technology company based in Seattle, Washington, that develops artificial intelligence tools for e-commerce companies. It was founded in 2024 by Maju Kuruvilla, a former executive at Amazon and the former CEO of Bolt. The company is known for its proprietary AI platform called ProductGPT, which delivers dynamic, real-time personalization to online shoppers.

Spangle AI was launched in 2024 by Maju Kuruvilla after he stepped down as CEO of the fintech startup Bolt. Before Bolt, Kuruvilla spent nearly a decade at Amazon, where he oversaw global fulfillment, logistics, and Amazon Prime systems. [citation needed][1][2][3]

In March 2025, the company emerged from stealth with $20 million in seed funding led by Madrona Venture Group and Streamlined Ventures. It introduced ProductGPT, a generative AI model tailored for retail, aiming to improve digital shopping experiences by increasing relevance and personalization at scale.[4][5][6]

Spangle was also selected as part fo the Future Of Fashing Tech: NYFTLab 2025 cohort.[7]

Technology

Spangle AI's platform uses a proprietary model, ProductGPT, to generate self-optimizing landing pages that adapt in real-time based on user intent, merchant context, and behavioral signals. This technology aims to replace static product listings with personalized, conversational storefronts.[8]
