Sophia Mathilda Naumann née Jönsson was a Swedish writer and philanthropist.

Writing

Mathilda Naumann published her first collection of short stories, entitled Ur granskapets krönika - Teckningar af Sorella, in 1872. She used name 'Sorella' as a nom de plume. Sorella is an Italian word meaning 'sister'.[1]

In 1881, she published Nya blad ur granskapets krönika.[1]

Personal life

She married Carl Fredrik Naumann, a professor of anatomy, in 1848. They had no children.[1]
