Biography
[edit]Sheetal was born in Calicut, Kerala and raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra where she finished here studies and worked with brands like Tata Consultancy, JP Morgan Chase, Vibgyor group of schools, in areas of Customer relations and experience, Strategy and Creative Direction, etc. Having spent her summer vacation in the verdant green Malabar region in her maternal grandparents house, has had a discerning and organic influence in her work. Her poetry and artworks reference nature and organic elements that reflect early childhood memories of play and exploration. Her metaphorical frameworks often refer land, trees and rituals as a visual arrangement.
Career
[edit]Sheetal is a creative entrepreneur, who is a co-founder and director of Bblewrap Innovations Pvt ltd. Her foray into art is influenced through her design process. She created a national poetry app called Air Poetry and following this she participated in Lokame Tharavadu 2021 - curated by Bose Krishnamachari, supported by Kochi Biennale foundation and also Decimation for Into the beyond- curated by Jitha Karthikeyan supported by Mercedes Benz India. She has also published two books of poetry that explores intricacies of human connection. She was one of the artist in residence at Arteles, Finland. She is also an active volunteer in art and design education and is working towards building a library in Kargil, India.
