Saurabh Zadoo (born March 27, 1990) is an Indian singer and music composer. He performs ghazals, sufi songs, devotionals and has created albums in Urdu and Kashmiri to his credit. He composed music for the trailer of the film BattKoch.[1] The film will be the first Kashmiri language film in 34 years.[2]
Early life and background
[edit]Zadoo was born in Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir on 27 Match 1990. His passion for music developed during school days where his school music teacher introduced him to the fundamentals of Indian classical music. While studying engineering, Saurabh simultaneously enrolled in a music graduation program. Towards the end of his engineering studies, he met the Santoor maestro Pandit Bhajan Sopori, who later became his guru and a significant influence on his musical journey. Saurabh also holds a Masters in vocal music from Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya.[3][4]
Musical career
[edit]Zadoo's career spans over a decade and he has worked on poetry and compositions based on Urdu and Kashmiri literarture. He has performed across India and collaborated with artists across India.[5][6][7]
