Sangs (born Andrew Sanger; formerly known as Andrew Roy Tom) is a Canadian alternative music artist from Toronto, Ontario. He releases music independently through digital platforms, including Spotify and YouTube.

Early Life and Education

Sangs was born Andrew Sanger in Toronto. He attended Wexford School for the Arts, a public arts-focused secondary school in Toronto. He later studied English at York University. Earlier in his music career, he released material under the name Andrew Roy Tom before adopting the stage name Sangs.

Music Career

Sangs writes, sings, and performs lead vocals and guitar on all of his recorded tracks, maintaining direct creative control over his releases. His music is distributed independently and released primarily through streaming platforms.

Production for his releases has been handled by Nimz, a Toronto-based producer.

Sangs’s early releases included an EP titled Surfaces Under the Sun and a full-length album titled Violet, released under his former name. He later consolidated his catalog under the stage name Sangs to provide digital access to his music while managing release costs.
