Sandton Public Library is a multi story building, located on the east side[1] of Nelson Mandela Square. This building has been recognized by the South African Institute of Architects and Co-Arc International Architects Won a Merit Award in 1995, for acting as " clear example of architecture mediating between the world as we find it and the world as we wish it to be."[2]
The library has a separate section for children literature, a reference section and almost 200 seats for studies.[3] The library has a catalogue of over 92 000 print books and a collection of multi media including audio books, videos and music. [4]
