Sandhya Janak is an Indian actress who works predominately in Telugu-language films in maternal roles in films such as Happy Days (2007).

Career

Sandhya Janak worked as a school teacher before becoming a science-centric journalist. She then worked on a women's documentary titled Silent Sufferers and other educational films. She sought Sekhar Kammula's help for a documentary in 2006, and he offered her the role of Tamannaah's mother in Happy Days (2007) when she was in her forties.[1] She went on to portray similar roles in many films including Maryada Ramanna, Vedam, Kathi Kantha Rao, Village Lo Vinayakudu, Ishq, Dammu and Sahasam (2013). She played Sumitra in Sri Rama Rajyam (2011) and a college principal in Police Game (2013) starring Srihari.[2][3]
